A Community Health Worker (CHW) visit the family each week and used the Growing Great Kids\u2122 curriculum to provide support for building a healthy family.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=”middle” css=”.vc_custom_1583234629833{padding-top: 0rem !important;padding-bottom: 5rem !important;}” el_class=”goodp”][vc_column width=”1\/4″ icons_position=”left”][vc_single_image image=”1327″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]4C Play & Learn<\/strong> groups are for children ages birth to five and their trusted adult. Playgroups provide activities designed to promote school readiness in a playful atmosphere. Ninety minute sessions at various locations around Evansville help children develop their bodies, language and literacy, problem-solving, social, and cognitive skills through play.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=”middle” css=”.vc_custom_1583234629833{padding-top: 0rem !important;padding-bottom: 5rem !important;}” el_class=”goodp”][vc_column width=”1\/4″ icons_position=”left”][vc_single_image image=”1086″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]Gatekeeper (VCIBAP)<\/strong> The Initiative Based Assistance Program (IBAP) or Gatekeeper is funded by Vanderburgh County government and helps families by providing assistance with\u00a0child care expenses\u00a0and\u00a0barriers to work or school such as\u00a0car repair.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=”middle” css=”.vc_custom_1583234629833{padding-top: 0rem !important;padding-bottom: 5rem !important;}” el_class=”goodp”][vc_column width=”1\/4″ icons_position=”left”][vc_single_image image=”1391″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]The Child & Adult Care Food Program<\/strong> offers reimbursement to child care providers for serving nutritious meals that meet USDA requirements. Many different providers operate CACFP and share the common goal of bringing nutritious meals and snacks to participants.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=”middle” css=”.vc_custom_1583234629833{padding-top: 0rem !important;padding-bottom: 5rem !important;}” el_class=”goodp”][vc_column width=”1\/4″ icons_position=”left”][vc_single_image image=”1313″ img_size=”full”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]4C\u2019s Faith Based and Preschool Program<\/strong> provides services to preschools seeking to participate in statewide systems or become accredited and unlicensed registered ministries working towards Voluntary Certification.<\/p>\n

Families<\/strong>\u00a0can find information about the different types of child care available locally. Agencies focus on meeting your specific needs. Additionally, they can share characteristics of a quality child care program and connect families to community resources.<\/p>\n

Community Members and Organizations<\/strong>\u00a0can learn about the supply and demand for child care. That includes information on the types of programs available and types of programs parents are asking for. Importantly, they can also help you explore the gaps between the two.<\/p>\n

4C of Southern Indiana, Inc. , a non-profit child care resource and referral agency serving fourteen counties in Southern Indiana, is supported by the Welborn Baptist Foundation, the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Office of Early Childhood and Out of School Learning, the Indiana.<\/p>\n
